Commissioned a Lego Build of my VCC

Coming along nicely. He's working on the interior and engine bay this week then will get the pieces ordered, instructions made up, and then sent out to me!

Fun little project. It'll end up between 1300-1500 pieces.

Kinda pricey as far as a toy goes, but it's pretty slick! It'll be 6.7" wide and 12.3" long. I think I paid just over $600 for it.

Pricey yes. But you have the only one! High in the cool factor and they've done a beautiful job!

Final pictures are done, pieces are ordered. I'll receive it in 2-3 weeks. Ended up at 1352 pieces. Only "detail" you can't see from the photos is the fuel cell under the rear glass.

Very cool! Has he submitted it to Lego/Dodge to be considered as a kit? If he does, let us know as I know Lego looks at the number of votes it gets on their site during the approval process. Since Dodge has produced two kits with Lego so far, it would be cool for them to add this to their series. Would he consider selling the block list and instructions to VOA members?

I wish Lego would allow that, but I thought I read a while ago they won't approve cars for brands they already have licensing deals for. Which is quite an issue now that they've got licensing for Dodge models, but hey, maybe I'm remembering wrong or that rule is now defunct. Either way, I'd support the hell outta it if I saw it on Lego ideas!

I'm sure he would...I think I paid $645 for the whole project, I'm sure he would offer a discounted price if he was only providing the instructions and a list of pieces based off of this build.

It's all fun and games until you step on it barefoot in the middle of the night, lol.

    Seriously though, very cool project.

That's not a joke at all. Legos are the most dangerous toy on the planet when the lights are off.

I did just finish a '66 Ford GT to sit in my office.
