If you have a Viper Gen3 and you want another Sports Car 150K what would you get

I am looking at 2020 GT4, older GT3 or a Gen 5. Or build a kit car RS...

Smart thing is invest it, I know.

I'm happy with my Gen3. I can put the top down and enjoy and don't think spending a $150k would be worth the change. But I'm old, slow, and too tight to spend that kind of money on a car.

Obviously you need to build a Superlite SL-C with a 9.0L Prefix engine and an 05/06 Ford GT 6-speed.

I have a gen 3 and even though it costs several (tens of) thousands to modify them properly, I see no other option at 150k that would be as much fun and enjoyable.

Sure not an older Porsche GT3/turbo S...
GT4 would be fun but lack of power and torque will be annoying on the street
Lambo, Ferrari, Mclaren, you have nothing interesting at that price.. and anyway the only one I drove that I like was the 720s ($$$) but automatic and turbo V8 (bleh)
    Audi, Mercedes... Nothing interesting.

What else? Maybe an electric car, a Taycan ? But then again, I will favorite one over the other after less than a week, and it will probably be the modded Viper...

I see no point to own vehicles that are having the same purpose and delivers ''same feeling'', unless you're a collector which is another story entirely.

Bottomline, I'll wait until they produce good electric SUVs

When I sold my modded 981 GTS I felt that I wouldnt ever find such a ''bargain'' of fun per dollar. But I did. A modded Gen 3 would beat any 150k vehicle that I know of, in regards of the overall enjoyment.

Roadster, unique, collector status and rare, manual, two-seaters, excellent brakes and chassis, massive N/A engine, tons of torque, pure analog feels... And with a reasonnable budget you can get 700bhp+ and 1.5G lateral kind of handling...

What else can you ask for, really?

Thinking of it, I'm not even sure what sports car I'd buy with unlimited budget... (while keeping the Viper)

McLaren 765LT, maybe. Or I'd wait for the new GT3RS ?
But then again, that would be for track use. Would I dare using a 765LT on track every weekend?

Get a low mileage used McLaren....there are unit available with warranty. Hard to beat mid engine wow and the damn McLaren has great visibility and awesome performance. Even the slowest McLaren model with grandma driving it will beat ANY stock Viper in the quarter mile.

This is what I went with, except plus model with CCB's and S-Tronic. It's a better all around car. Don't get me wrong, the ACR is more of a spectacle and more fun to Hoon around in when you are in the mood and the 21 yo me comes out. That said, my R8 has a VF Eng supercharger and is faster than the Viper with all boltons. It's also a better built car and somewhat luxurious. More along the lines of the performance and luxury of a 911 Turbo S but better looks and more dynamic driving experience. It's also the car my wife will ride in for a dinner date, lol. Outside the Audi, I'd consider a Lambo Huracan. Unfortunately, if it has to be a manual, very few options.

Awesome cars but to a lot of us, no 3rd pedal = no fun.

Me included. Even though automatic are quicker/better nowadays, I consider only true sports car that are RWD+manual.
