    Mines worth more than yours

A while back I posted about Gen 2 values and one member chastised me over questioning the market value of some seller's cars.

Full disclosure: I currently don't own a Gen 2 yet and if prices keep going up, I may never be able to afford one. Do I think prices are going up? Undoubtedly so!
Are lot's of second hard cars going up right now. Sure looks that way from where I reside.
Will they see a correction downward or will prices keep going up for another few years..... who knows.

With that in mind, I thought I'd start a light hearted thread where you can post up ad's of owners selling their Gen 2's. I'll kick things off with this little gem I found today.

Maybe these cars will look like bargains is 12 months time...

Eric's car has 33K miles and has light mod's..

Although I really like those rims.

But in my opinion that car is only worth $248,500 and not a dollar more.

Just to be clear that wasn't an offer.lol

Some people are clearly reaching with their prices, but all cars have gone up not just Vipers. The thing with Vipers is they have gone up quite a bit in the last year. A year ago you could have bought a 96/97 BW with 20K miles or less for low $40’s. How much is that same car now? There were 1K mile cars with asking prices in the low $70’s that had been sitting on the market for years. What’s that car worth now?

There will likely be a pull back at some point, but who knows for sure if, or when. Bottom line.... if you find the right car at a price you can afford just buy it. Good luck with your search.

There have been a couple real nice cars posted on the "Viper Owners Group" FB group. If you're not looking on FB, you're missing a decent amount of good cars. FB Marketplace has really taken over the market that Craigslist used to own.

There was a nice GTS posted for just under $50k last week. First clean GTS under $50k that I've seen in a couple months.

100% agree. As you say ,it's not just Vipers.
    The COVID tax is real.
Lot's of couped-up*people reflecting on life ending prematurely and saying "Life is short. I may as well as I've always wanted one"
Those same couped-up*buyers now have a year's worth of disposable income from not going out, gambling, drinking because we've all been in lock-down.*
Viper Unicorns on BAT setting new pricing watermarks.

I don't think prices will return to 2019 levels. Those days are long gone.

I'm hoping prices will at least level out but there are no guarantee's and I guess it's rewarded those Viper faithful that always knew their value and purchase years ago (I've had to wait for them to reach 25 years due to import restrictions in my country).
I'll keep plodding away and hopefully find the right car.

PS: These forums are a great resource so thanks again for everyone's contributions.

    Cheers ucmcfieldmp.
Although I work in tech, I've stayed off Fakebook most of my life however I recently opened an account just for the marketplace and groups. It seems Graigslist hasn't really innovated much ...

They are all garage queens.....except for ones in Northern Texas.........

    Just sayin........

But hey......this one is worth more than a Viper according to some peoples comments on here..

But this is a garage queen as well.....so I guess it also..."does not count".
