First of all, congrats to (almost) having completed the project
As for the settings, what do your amp and head unit offer in this regard (e.g. crossover, eq, time alignment)?

That's the typical stuff and limits the possibilities of proper tuning quite a bit (compared to a more advanced systems including some kind of DSP either integrated in the head unit or stand-alone). So I guess you will dial it in by ear. Another alternative would be to do an RTA measurement to see, where key peaks and dips are in the frequency response. But then again, if you have no means to address those correctly it is kind of useless... Maybe this goes beyond what you are looking for anyway, in which case you are good to go
great thread, thanks for posting - im looking to upgrade the audio for mine as well, this will be a good point of reference.
I'm sure I'll revisit this thread later. I'd like a modern head unit with Bluetooth or line-in capability. I'm tired of using an FM Broadcaster to listen to phone music. It's not a big deal for shorter, around town drives... but it really sucked on my drives to Little Rock and Austin.
My OE amplifier was already removed and handed to me separately when I bought mine. It allegedly still works, I just never put it back in because weight savings.
