Well My tires didn't get here on time. but i'll be going anyways ( i 've been wanting to try my jeep in the 1/4 anyway), also Ron from the Upstate area will be going with his wife Marcy, see you guys there ( patrick i might call you to follow you guys from charlotte).

OMG!!!!! What an AWESOME day! Great people, ours and the track and the event owners. The smell, well clouds of burning rubber, from all the MOPARS - and our guys - drag racing. We've got to entice Art from VA, just north of the NC border, to get a PO Box address in NC so he can be a Carolinas' member. :-) He must have made 6-7 runs with his gray GTS. And Logan, WOW, breaking the 12 second quarter mile. AWESOME! And not to forget Scott (I hope that's this name - oops) who had the B/W GTS running side-by-side with Logan's B/W GTS - Had the crowd awed.

Thanks to everyone for making this a great day! Can't wait for Tail of the Dragon...

Home from Rockingham (thanks Dave for the route suggestion - MUCH more enjoyable ride home).. Phenomenal day as always - hated that everyone couldn't get out to the dragstrip but we had an awesome time. Enjoyed meeting those we didn't know already!

You guys ROCK!!!

We had a great showing of Vipers at this event! We had 2 caravans roll into Rockingham from Raleigh and Charlotte. We also had numerous snakes arrive from many other areas...even Virginia!. Our newest members Logan and Leeanna joined us in their 96 GTS...another fine addition to our group. It was nice to meet Emily, Kristian's wife too! We also got to meet Scott from Sanford with his beautiful 96 GTS...really nice guy. The club sported their *new* VOA t-shirts and windshield stickers at this event. Thanks everyone who came out. I'm hiding in the house today because I closely resemble a lobster.

Jeremy won the top award in the Viper class with his 2014 SRT Viper T/A!!!

Awesome pics... Glad the weather was great for you guys and all made it back in one piece. When you guys get time, I would be interested in your 60 ft - 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile times. I don't have a 1/4 mile track nearby but do have two 1/8 mile tracks about 90 minutes away. Just using 1st and 2nd gear isn't going to be all that fun for just 3 -5 runs at the 1/8 mile strip's T & T nights. Last time I went, years ago...to many motorcycles for the car enthusiast. Also what was the rule for convertibles...stock roll bar okay? Helmet required? thanks

No helmet required but the cut off was 12.99 1/4 mile times. So we should have worn one but they let it slide. I'm not sure about roll bar. But I would bet it's fine. My best run was as follows.
60-1.83
330-5.187
1/8-7.86
1000-10.12
1/4-11.99
This was on 93 gas, no slicks, later in the day when it was hot and my first time tracking this one.
Car specs
96 gts
K and n ram air
Corsa cat back with high flows
M&M headers
3.55 gears.
