Got the Radiator swapped out. Sure enough it had two leaks on the driver side tank. Not sure if this picture will show it well but it's warped like a wet piece of cheap plywood. Not sure how that happened but betting that's the cause of the leaks. Pretty crappy since it's only 3 years old and probably only has 2k miles on it at the very most.

That radiator isn't warped. It was twisted during assembly in the manufacturing process. I've had many RDR, Roe, Howe radiators and they are all twisted. It has nothing to do with the failure.
If you can post additional pictures of it I may be able to identify the brand of it if you don't already have that info.
It's a HOWE radiator that I bought directly through them. I don't recall it looking that way when I installed it but I may have just not noticed it. I'm going to have my brother in law fix the two leaks for me so I have a spare radiator in case the one I put in fails. He's super good with welding aluminum and is confident he can fix it.
Kinda hoping this water pump rebuild turns out well and you end up with a good solid replacement part. The news thus far isn't very encouraging though.
Looked to be coming from the back side of the tank where the coils go through it. I didn't dunk it in water. I just sprayed it with some soapy water where it had visible coolant staining and it was bubbling from that area. We're going to dunk it at his house and find all the spots before fixing it. He's got a plastic baby pool and that's safer than my bathtub as my better half didn't appreciate having car parts in it last time.
Coils? Howe is a tube style radiator. Where the tubes go in to the end tanks that is the tube sheet. If that is indeed just a terminology descrepancy and we are talking about the same thing the tubes are extremely thin. Please report back if you have success welding them.
Has anyone tried to make an adapter plate/flange with inlet/outlet ports onto the front case using the same water pump flange design and hooked up an electric water pump yet?! I know this sounds a little crazy, but with the ability to design parts fairly easily and quickly I can't imagine this hasn't been tried yet. If it hasn't then maybe I need to download the hobbyist version of solid-works and give it a try!
Is there any data available for the flow rate vs pressure drop for the OEM pump???

Still waiting on this water pump to get “rebuilt”, but in case anyone one of you needs one , don scharf automotive carries them. Just ordered a new oem one.
Same here. Spoke to them Friday. She advised my pump has been bead blasted, cleaned and all parts are ready for rebuild but their builder has been out ill for a while now. I know they are a small establishment so maybe they only have one person specialized in doing the assembly as I've been told by multiple builders that you have to be real careful and detailed when installing the seals otherwise pumps will leak or fail real quickly.
Anyone have line of sight to any new OE water pumps or ones that aren't junk? I still keep being told "will ship in a couple days" every time I call this place rebuilding my pump. Going to call them today and if it wont ship today demand they send me my old OE pump back as is (it's supposedly been disassembled and cleaned already). I mean, seriously, how long does it take to put a damn pump back together (been telling me that's all it's needed for over a month). At any rate, I need a new pump and I refuse to go used or buy another crap cardone unit. I'm on my 4th waterpump in the short 5 years I've owned this car. My original OE, a "good" used OE and 2 cardone units.
Not to sound whiny but I'm at my wits end with this damn car. It's down 6-7 months out of the year waiting on parts for things that should be simple to resolve. It's been down now for 3 months for a water pump so if I can't find one soon I'm at the point now I may just slap the old crap one on and sell the damn car for something I can actually drive and enjoy. I love this thing but tired of having a paper weight in my garage for months on end...
My less than 1K mile and 1.5 year old Cardone unit. Every pump I've put on my car has started to leak here fast.

Damn sucks to hear man. Not many pumps out there , and all from my research are used. Curious where your other pumps started leaking from ?
All of them have leaked out the weep hole. I keep an eye on that as once it starts coming out there bearing failure generally isn't far away. I think my first OE went out because the car was basically a garage queen when I bought it and when I got it I drove the car regularly so assume the seal just got dry and let go. Problem with used is you have no clue what condition that seal is really in. It may not leak when off the car but can leak right off the bat and thus why I just can't go used again as that is exactly what happened the first time I changed the pump. For cardone, I think they have people building them that just aren't paying a lot of attention. Last time I bought one I had to return 4 of them before I even got one that had the mating surfaces properly cleaned up before they painted it.

Got it. Don’t recommend their services to anyone but since I already vested all this time , I’m going to keep waiting and in the meantime just keep changing the ball joints, bushings, etc. Still waiting on the used pump from Scharf, might have to look into a another rebuild company to address the internals.
Are there any other companies doing the rebuilds?
All the others were afraid of them due to having bad luck with breaking the impellers upon disassembly or weren't willing to risk disassembly due to hearing of others issues. This company makes an aluminum impeller so breaking it was not of a concern. They also came pretty highly recommended from some of the old car guys I spoke too before sending my pump their way.

I guess I'm confused...is it weeping or running straight out? My 5.9 pump I just replaced stated emphatically on the instructions that the weep hole will weep antifreeze...aka normal. Now it doesn't run out, but since the instructions stated it is designed to weep, I just made a mental note and moved on. My Cardone (RockAuto) Viper pump has been flawless for over 50k miles and 13 yrs since install...to include surviving a blower belt and all that bearing stress. BUT no weeping...so yeah.
