    Viper Odd Throttle Response

Hey guys, my Gen V is acting up. I started noticing this last year. Car has 20k miles on it and when I go from a slow rolling speed to acceleration, the whole car slams into the throttle instead of a smooth transition and power up. Is this something noticed by others? I have the TKO throttle controller installed but it happens when the unit is off as well. I thought my clutch was toast but I can rip around at the track and have no issues getting into gear. It's like I lost all smooth throttle calibration. I have the Prefix Tune installed as well.

Hope someone can help me out. Thanks in advance.

Have you completely unplugged the TKO unit so you can positively rule that out?

I only ask because all the TKO unit does is alters the output signal of the gas pedal, which sounds like what is happening here.

It is not possible for the rate at which the PCM opens the throttle bodies can change in any way, shape, or form without reflashing the calibration.

If you haven't done that, the only thing that's left is the TKO unit.

You have probably tried this already Sadil so I apologize if your past this easy one. Start with disconnecting the battery for couple minutes and reconnect. This will start the throttle learn process.

    really like the tow rig!

I had similar things happen with my Gen 5 ACR - I did a Throttle-relearn at the dealer (I have a HP Tune - needed to go back to stock tune, do the re-learn then re-install the Tune) and it fixed my weird Throttle issues that were similar.

    Awesome Tow vehicle!

Did you have your dealer do the throttle relearn after you did the arrow computer?

Thank you everyone for the kind comments. It definitely got a lot of attention! Tow package from factory was 7k lbs capable with air suspension in the rear. I have been having a great time towing with it.

@englishrodder and Arizona Vipers, regarding the throttle re-learn, I did not visit the dealer and now I can't remember if this issue was around before the TKO throttle controller and after I installed the Arrow tune. Prefix told me it might not be required as they do a re-learn in-house as well. Guess I need to take it to the dealer.

@ TKO Motorsports, I have removed the battery cables several times so any resets have already been done. It must be the throttle re-learn.
