Beautiful! Doesn’t seem like a bad price considering the build. Hopefully it’s as bullet proof as the Nth cars.

Well the Calvo builds do come with the longest warranty in the high hp industry, 2 years. Both Calvo and Nth are top notch quality.

I bought an ACR E from Andy a few months ago. He was great to work with and made the transaction super easy.

Doing the quick math, the $245k spent to add ~1500HP, works out to $160+ per horsepower.

Diminishing returns. The higher the HP, the higher the cost per HP. Adding 500hp/ (1/3 the gain) probably would have been $25k (10% of the cost).

That's kind of just the way it is with everything in motorsports. I bit it follows the 80/20 rule pretty closely. Getting the last 20% of the way to "the best" is 80% of the cost of a top flight, competitive car.

With that said, it's pretty damn wild that it's $250k. Must be a supply/demand and IP thing. I can't imagine materials or labor are even 30% of that ($75k). At the end of the day, the "best" pistons, rods, crank, heads, turbos, intercooler, etc are only going to cost so much. You're mostly paying for someone who figured out how to do it without blowing it up.

I didn't even know there was a 3000rwhp viper . Jesus. That was like... top fuel territory when I was first getting into cars (gulp, over two decades ago? How can that be. Sheesh.) Heck, it's powertrain losses are probably close to a stock viper

When you start getting into the built motor stuff with 8500 redlines etc, it starts getting massively expensive. Guys have spent well over $500K on these builds.

Must admit I find it amazing some folks have so much disposable income, can they put it down as a tax loss? LOL

My company owns my Viper and all related viper costs.

Although, at the rate they're appreciating, I might be better off with it in my name. I'll have to pay income tax on the gains.

Fortunately, my accountant cleared it and all the business partners (my myself and I) agreed on it.
