    Jackstand points for Gen V

    Hey guys, this is a surprising question, due to thinking there would be another post about this, however how do you put our cars on jackstands. Where are the 2nd locations to jack the car up properly so you can put the jackstands on the jack points?

    There are 4, right behind and in front of the front and rear wheels respectively. They look like little metal triangles.

    They're literally the only thing protruding on the otherwise underbody. You can't miss them.

    I just realize what you meant. What I was asking is aside from those points, like to get the jackstands on those points, you need to jack the car up from another point under the car, tho 13 cobra has my answer!

    Those points are good, but hard to get to, especially on an ACR, and especially at track height. I use the front angle iron jack pads initially to lift the car far enough to put blocks/small ramps under the front wheels, then a low profile jack will reach under the splitter to the frame rails between the front tires. In the back, a low profile jack will slide between the diffuser strakes to the square hole in the belly pan between the rear tires. Put a hockey puck on the jack to go into the square hole and you can lift the rear from there. Doug Shelby makes a pad that fits in the square hole so you don't have to use a hockey puck (spacer) on the jack in the rear.

    Just changed all the fluids in my car, so I thought I would snap a couple of photos showing how I get it on jack stands. I have little drive up ramps for the front tires so I can get a low profile jjack under the splitter and I put the jack on a frame rail between the front tires. For the rear, I built a bolt-in assembly that ties the small lateral rear crossmember (between the rear wheels and above the square hole in the diffuser pan) to the x-bracing above. Then I welded a small piece of angle iron to the bottom of the assembly so it sticks down through the square hole to use as a rear jack point and/or tie down point. Like I said earlier, I believe Doug Shelby makes a piece to do the same function. Hope this helps.
