Just bought a GTS out in Oregon

Hey everybody. I am proud to say I am now the owner of a 2000 Steel Gray GTS. I have had a few different performance cars before this including a 2000 Trans Am, 1999 SVT Lightning, 2003 C5Z, 2014 Evo X, among others. This is by far the coolest of the bunch. This has been a life goal I've been working towards for about 10 years. I can't believe I get to call this car my own. I'll link the for-sale ad since I haven't even had the car delivered from Oregon to Houston yet to take my own pics.

I was able to negotiate the price some as well as get some great spare parts thrown in on the deal. Comes with spare striker cylinder heads and a Roe supercharger kit haha.

The previous owner took great care of the car and kept excellent records of the upgrades. It has about $50k in receipts. Have to give him props. If anyone knows some of the history on the car, feel free to share!

Trivia: Did you know there is / was a WWII decommissioned airport in Port O that served as a race track? Back in the Hay-Bales era, I raced a Datsun 510 there...and also did Pace Car work in my Viper for the last-ever race, back in 1996. I dont think Ira ever drove there, but he did do a couple of tame parade laps at Portland....PIR

And yes, this is Ira's car! I'm glad you know him. Interesting Port Orford factoids too. The town had a nice vibe to it when I was there. I almost feel bad about taking the Viper out of it's beautiful natural habitat with smooth windy roads.

Welcome, Great color I had one just like it only with stripes. I even purchased it from someone in Oregon.

Wonderfull car but be careful the crank snout is the weak point if your thinking of installing that supercharger.

Don't ask me how I know.lol

Hopefully I don't have that issue haha. The car has a Paxton on it currently.
