    New Owner in North Texas

Picked mine up yesterday. 97 GTS. 57k miles.

Looking forward to driving the hell out of it. I was hoping to get it out to MSR Cresson for a track day next Tuesday, but I want to replace suspension bushings and ball joints first (is there a Gen2 Delrin kit? I've only found Poly). Next local SCCA Autocross isn't until late July, unfortunately.

Congrats. Now time for the next logical step. Hit that Join button up at the top left. Great group of folks in the Texas regions and they have some quality events as well...

Thanks. I've only been able to drive it about 50 miles on that first day because we've had some bad storms sweeping through DFW lately. Last night, lime-sized hailed battered a friend's house about 5 miles north of me. Looking forward to it clearing up.

The car has a handful of nice upgrades already on it though.

    • Autoform T/A carbon fiber rear spoiler
    • Autoform Rollbar
    • Roe Racing Triple Pass Aluminum Radiator
    • Roe Racing VEC1
    • RSI dual fans/relay kit
    • Allegedly a large oil cooler; yet to verify
    • Billet aluminum power steering bracket and pulley kit
    • 3-rib 10 quart oil pan with Roe oil baffle system
    • Moroso oil catch can
    • B&M STS
    • Sidewinder II wheels with Toyo R888 tires
    • Wilwood BBK with two-piece slotted rotors
    • Stainless steel braided brake lines
    • Parking brake relocation kit
    • Borla catback w/ cats removed and piping heat wrapped through sills
    • Vented Sills
    • Front and rear tow hooks

I've got a couple new parts on the way already too: Moog end links, anti-sway mounts, motor mounts, and IPSCO trans mount & cross member. The storms gave me a chance to give the car a deeper inspection than my pre-purchase one - found a couple things that I had overlooked (PCV appears to be leaking under the I/M, the bleeder hose coming off the radiator is kinked)... and then fix a couple of the small issues that I knew about when buying - driver's side door sag being the main one.

Looking forward to fixing all the small issues and racking up a bunch of miles on it this year.

Looks like a great pick up. Although not from your area....I can tell you had some bad weather up there. The wind was howling over my house down near the gulf, the air being sucked up toward Dallas. When that happens.....it is always tornado related. Good to have you join us. Enjoy the steak places up there in FW. Great eating up there.....

Thanks. We certainly have had bad weather.

I was right at the bottom edge of the purple outline.

This was at a friend's house about 5-10 miles north of me, which was in the path of the white part of the storm. It beat his 2019 Tacoma up real bad.

And it's supposed to keep raining through Sunday. -_- As much as I love looking at my new car, I'd much rather be driving it. There's always next week.
