44 mile GTS on Bring A Trailer

Strange how beat up the bumper is for "44" miles. Also strange that someone would have the frame recall done on such a low-mile example. I don't know about the rest of you but this really doesn't seem like a 44 mile car to me.

Maybe the guy has/had lots of money and didn't need investment advice. Maybe he just enjoyed looking at it like a painting or a sculpture that doesn't appreciate much. Maybe he has a large collection of cars and needs space. Not everyone is you.

Are 96's supposed to have the clear film on the lower front corners of the front bumper? My 01 has them from the factory.

I've never met a serious car collector who celebrates making any money when selling a car. It's a hobby, not a job. Most of the time they need space for something new or acknowledge the car is likely to be enjoyed more by someone else.

It's ironic, according to your logic, two of the stupidest people in the world helped start this club. Just think how many Vipers they own that are garage queens. Imagine how rich they could have been if they had never purchased a Viper. The shame they must feel.

I haven't heard any car collector bash you for modding your car or driving the heck out of it. Probably because they are happy that you enjoy your car the way you want to.

Some did, some didnt.

As I remember, mine did not have them from the factory, but there was a recall pretty early on that applied them - along with some plastic rub covers near the seat belt anchors and a new oil pan.

$160K plus fees is the total. Wow. That's a lot of money considering there are probably a good number of these ultra-low mileage '96 GTS's around. Obviously it took two very interested parties to get to this number and it rocketed up $52K in the last 12 minutes of the auction.

Again.....How many threads has this happened in? The reality is coming home......prices are going up everywhere. From Toyotas to Jaguars to Dodges......prices are going up. In five years.....the buyer may have gotten a great deal here.
