Hello new owner from OK

Hello everyone! Just registered as a VOA member as well. Just got my first viper this week! I found it on FB in Connecticut, so a friend and I flew out on Wednesday and then drove it home over the next two days, finally getting into the garage at 0300! What a wild ride!

Was able to find a 97 Blue w/ White Stripes, and the price was amazing with only 57K miles. lots of work done to the car already, most of which was on my wish list to do when i got mine anyhow, so it worked out perfectly.

and of course, no story is good without any shenanigans, so I discovered the error of my ways, lol. The car i bought has an upgraded walbro fuel pump, so it can only take 100% gas. guess how i figured that out? yup. the pump got too hot with 91 e10, and melted the relay. Died on me on the interstate cruising at 75 about 5 hrs away from home. Thankfully was able to get towed to a local shop and they got the relay replaced, the tank drained and we filled up with no eth gas and was good to go!

This thing even got 21 MPG on the highway in 6th going 75. even with a TR6060 and 3.55 rear end.
