PZero PZ4 were not the OEM Pzeros, the regular Pzero is an old design. Tire rack has tests of them all the way back to at least 2007. Good riddance to them, they needed to be taken out to pasture.

Hmmmm.
Friend of mine had that same experience (nailed his tires) with the Michelins on his Shelby GT350. I think they were cup2's but not certain. He went thru 3 tires in a very short period of time.
I Haven't had any such experience with the Conti ExtremeContact Sports on the Porsche ..at all. They've been fantastic in the canyon, mountain roads and streets of San Diego regardless of weather conditions. Only once have they gotten a little greasy. But that was after ripping up the twisties for 2 hours straight (keeping pace with a 2021 CarreraS in front and a 2022 Carrera GTS in back!) and the outside temps getting ~90 degrees. N' that situation was instantly communicated by the Conti's. Probably saved me from having a REALLY bad day. Feedback of comms with the road is GREAT with the Conti's.
Plenty of Porsche track rats have complained the PS4S's are too soft and don't feedback enough comms with the road.

Tread compound is for wear resistance and grip at a given temperature range. Belt package is puncture resistance and carcass stability behind the tread. If the steel belts they use won't stop penetration, we might as well go back to using Polyglass belts like it was the '70s again. At least the tires would be lighter.
I'll check what model the tires are when we get her car back tonight.

michelin PS4S are about the same price as Contis ECS on tirerack. I'll always pretty much chose michelins if the alternative is the same price

Seems like all the leading one lap of america teams choose the PS4S.. might be a bit if a hint there..
edit - my bad.. that was an old results listing from 2019.. looked to quick. but teams have to buy tires directly rom Tirerack and they are branded to make sure no changes..

I hear what y'all are sayin'.
But my Viper is 3200lbs and the Porsche is 3000lbs and in many ways, I think they handle a lot alike.
The Viper has the unique combo of massive torque and massive grip across the power band and can get to the limits WAY faster.
Cool that right now we seem to have the ContiECS, MichyPS4S, MichyCup2, ToyoR888r and maybe just maybe the ContiForce available. Can even get PZero's and NittoInvo's.
Good times.![]()

R888R still an option too, but I've not heard much good feedback about them recently
Hmmm, I hope you didn't just jinx me....I put the Conti ExtremeContact DWS06 in XL load range on my wife's Range Rover Sport about 3-4 years ago as her daily driver. Thankfully no issues or flats. I liked them so much I just installed a set of oversized E load range Continental Terrain Contact HT's on my Range Rover that has a lift kit. This tire has been incredible in its ride comfort and silence. I like them so much that I'm going to put them on my F-350 tow rig.
Just drove about 70 miles on some new tires. Continental Extreme Contact Sport in the factory sizes. Wasn't able to really do too much yet but the grip vs the PZeros is much improved. Granted, the PZeros were original to the car so 9 years old. They also seem to be quite quiet which is a major plus.
yup now can see how bad pirelli pzeros were, they are bad even new. Universally hated by everyone on the 15-17 Mustang GT performance package which they later changed to have pilot sport 4S. That was my first experience with them.
I like their motorcycle tires. lol Probably my top three for sport bike tires. Continental and Metzler also come to mind. Been a few years though.
Im seeing on tirerack that Cup 240 Connects are now available in stock, and the Contis will be in stock July 1st (who knows if thats true)

It sounds like the Conti Force tires in the 345's came and went. (according to both my local Tire guy and Tire Rack)
TireRack says they'll be restocked in January 2023.
Did ANYBODY manage to get 'em for their Viper? If so, how was the ride?
I'd love to see some evidence that they were actually produced in 345 and sold to consumers. I keep an eye on these religiously because I want a set and I never saw them available. Only saw the date get continuously pushed back.
Michelin Pilot Super Sport 345/30ZR19 is available
