Does power steering fluid have a shelf life? I still have about 8 qts of the Mopar stuff from back in the day. Still 72 virgins minty-mint in the bottle.

Mr. Chem Eng, you should know the answer to that. The plasticizers leech into the oil from the bottle.

So. It seems like all of the concern about fluid selection is overrated. I'm going to start carrying an extra jar of taco sauce as my reserve engine, steering and brake fluid.
