Flomaster Pro Series on my 1997 Viper GTS

Very happy with it! K&N intake, Custom headers, 3" exhaust, Cat's deleted, rear muffler deleted, Flomasters fit in the sill's where the factory resonators were. Added benefit of no heat on the sills since the flomasters don't get very hot. No Drone and sounds great!

Removing the cats is what killed your sill heat. They are exothermic and can run at 800F.

Very true, cats turn the cab into an oven. But the Dynomax mufflers I had on prior to the Flomasters, with no cats as well, still produced enough heat on the sills to remind you not to put your calf there. The Flomasters knock out that extra bit of heat to the point where the sills are not warm at all. You can literally rest your hand on the Flomaster muffler while the motor is hot. The Dynomax's would have been scorching. I should have taken temps of each while I had the sills off. Pretty crazy stuff!

I have twin Moroso spiral flows (welded together in the middle to make one long spiral flow) into a Corsa cat-back....no cats. Still deal with side sill heat. In the process of fabricating replacement side sills that will be well vented. I have the molds completed and the first plugs almost ready for paint. So far so good. Will be an interesting mod to an otherwise stock side sill look.

Hang on to those molds! Sounds like a great idea and I have a feeling some folks are going to be interested in them. Post some pics when they are all finished!

Sounds good, I was expecting something different, (LOVE Flowmasters on V8s) still sounds like a Viper.

I thought the same thing. I'm used to the awesome "chambered" Flowmaster sound on many Classic V8s out there. These newer "laminar flow" mufflers don't sound like your typical Flowmaster, which is a good thing if you still want to keep that V10 Viper sound.

I'm always tinkering. Its a bad DNA mutation I have. But as my wife states.."It keep me out of the bars."

This is the kind of project I prefer, trying something different, where an off the shelf, "safe", solution is not used.

Even though the GEN-I/II had (has) a beautiful timeless design, what was behind that design was hardly optimized. Peel the skin back a bit and its pretty rough by today's standards (brakes, exhaust, etcetera). As far as side sill options....all I do is step back, scratch my head a bit, and figure I can improve (to some extent) on what the factory shoved out. I'm not a purest by any stretch...and there are limits. I won't be dropping a crate hellcat into it...even though that would be a hoot.

Well. Um... They certainly don't do that vent hole / side splitter / screen business for you with their FRP sills. That was 100% Dave :-/

But I do of course want to see what in the Foxtrot you are coming up with. Go to know at least you still have your car after that last email... :-O
