Has anyone tried this tire? I am going to need a 20" option with great traction. I really want the Toyo 888R, but want an option wider than 325.

Havent try on a Viper, but the Trofeo R compares to Michelin Cup 2 (and also to the Kuhmo v720 ACR) in terms of grip and feel. That being said, it's barely useable on the street: very hard to warm up and pretty dangerous when it's raining (compared to Michelin and Kuhmo's).

For my gen 3, the best combo I have tried so far is rear 355 Kuhmo + front 295 Yokohama A052 (stock wheels), warms up pretty quickly and decent wet performance, amazing and well-balanced grip. Perfect street/track combo for me.

very very limited options in 20's rear.

Michelin Sport 4S is a very good tire but expensive and not really track-oriented. 345-30-20 is also a bit oversized with 28.2''

Trofeo R size max is 315 (or 325 in 21's)

Thanks for the info. I don't track the car, but do need good dry traction for the street.

My personal ratings on 345+ width tires

Kuhmo V720 ACR = 9/10
Michelin Sport Cup 2 = 8.5/10
Michelin Sport 4S = 8/10
Nitto Invo = 5/10


Unfortunately most of them available in 19 in. size only.

Haven't try the Toyo R888R yet, probably a good option too. But I can't imagine a better DOT option than 355's Kuhmo right now.
I'd go with Michelin 4S for 20in wheels, can't go wrong.
