I was told to keep it below 4,500 rpm and avoid constant throttle for the first 500 miles. Change the oil and filter at 500 miles and drive it as intended after that.

500 mile break in. Not to go over 4500rpm more detail in the manuel. Same as I remember for all my other vipers.

Just go by what the book says - since the engine is run at the factory, the rings are already seated (that happens in the first few minutes of running it), so the only things left to do are make sure the clutch, brakes, transmission, and rear end ring and pinion gears are given enough time to wear in. If it were me, I'd probably do about 10 or so full heat/cool cycles for the gears, change the fluids and let 'er rip. I'd also hold off on hard launches until I had about 500 or so miles on the clutch.

WOT at all times for the first 75,000 Miles. There are no exceptions to this rule. Drive it like you stole it.

Break in period requires patience ESP if its not your DD. manual says 500 miles but sine folks, myself included, experienced the shifter etc really loosen up nicely after 1000 miles. Manual says oil change at no later than six months but its prudent to do the first change at about 1500 miles if that mileage is reached before six months.

Other than that, nothin to it. Enjoy.

I say put it on a dyno and run it for 500 miles and then take it out and drive it like a mountain Mule.
