Make sure you ask the detailer if they have put ceramic on wraps before. I went through this with a ceramic detailer - there is a special ceramic for clear wraps (can't remember the name) and I was told the usual ceramics are almost useless because the clear wrap is so porous. On mine, they had to order a special one specifically designed for wraps.

Not sure what advice to give on the seams. Mine look like crap because the ceramic coating got into them and it definitely has a white chalky look to it. On light colored cars, you wouldn't notice it, but on darker cars, it's annoying. If I had to do it all over again, I would have found a wrap that covers the whole top of the hood and just had seams on the sides (or no seams if at all possible). The way the seams are on most wraps puts them right down the driver's and passenger's line of sight and I hate it.

The whole thing cost about $10k to do (full wrap, full ceramic, ceramic on wheels and calipers), and I'm not sure it was worth it.

I did not put the expel on.Ive had it looked at by an installer and they said it was done well.Ive never really liked the seams as they are very noticable on my Stryker purple......Had a stone from a damn dump truck knock the shit out of it on the drivers side pillar.Dreaded getting home and looking at it.Lo and behold it left NO mark so I became a big fan at that time.Still I have some curling at some places around doors etc.Curious also how much it takes away from the beauty of the Stryker Purple paint...would like to get seams clean and find out shelf life as it was put on in'16.Thanks.
