    Does Anyone Know This RT/10?

    Hello all,

I'm continuing to look into buying an RT/10, and I'm curious if anyone knows this one: https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds...#&gid=1&pid=42

I'm a life-long Viper fan, but I'd be a newbie to actually purchasing/owning one. How does this one look?

    Thanks!
    Seth

As Frank says, Gen II wheels 17" Car would have come with the 3 spoke 17" wheels.

Also Hardtop roof and sliding windows were not standard on a 94 RT/10 it would of had the cloth roof and Zip windows.

Hopefully the fluids would have been changed regularly? Budget for a new set of tires, Very hard to get hold of 17" tires, (they make them in batches for the Viper).
The interior looks good, the dash can scratch up over time and many people get them repainted.
Head gaskets were a common issue. So something to ask about.

    Welcome to the forums.

Thanks for the advice! Yeah, the wheels and top/windows aren't quite period correct, but that's okay. I definitely would prefer to have a hard top.

And, yes, I definitely need to check on the head gaskets. How much does that service run? Not cheap, I do know that.

I feel like it looks to be in very nice shape. The hood alignment looks especially spot on.

Thanks for your advice! Keep it coming!

Sethr, probably needs some work but it looks good in the pictures and the price is reasonable. Lot's of good information here on the forum regarding what these cars need, or common problems. Don't worry about the OEM wheels, there are plenty of used ones for sale for a pretty reasonable price. Make sure it has the factory soft top and windows.

Have you spoken to the buyer to confirm its still for sale?

    Good luck, Mike

Thanks for the advice, all! Someone beat me to the car, it sounds like. But, the advice definitely stands: I'll be inquiring about the head gaskets right off the bat, from now on!
    Thanks!
