Will they work on a Gen1?

Removing the compressibility of the fascia will put additional stress on the core support. Which is less flexible and will crack if you hit a bump too hard, even without those parts. So IMO those bumpers come with a caveat.

Just ordered these to give them a try... I need some solution to help me get in my garage. I don't usually scrape in any scenario other than getting in my SF garage. I built a ramp to get into the garage, but as it stands now I end up "folding" the left-hand side of the little plastic lip that sticks down. Figured these delrin-like blocks would help me out - I don't think a lot of weight will be put on them.

    I'll report how they are!

I use those clear door edge guards along the whole bottom. Cheap solution and it works as the clear guards get scrapped.

Yeah, I ended up returning these. Dave666hit the nail on the head - they mount to the composite frame behind the bumper, which by no means is sturdy enough to take any weight when scraping, and is not at all flexible which would most likely lead to a crack...

Oh well. Good to know, i guess
