Anyone have a spare PCV grommet

I'm going to be changing the thermostat gasket and want to replace the pcv grommet.

Unfortunately, the Mopar part # 5245322, has been discontinued.

Anyone have any ideas on where I could source one (besides Dave's attic) or if there is a way to find a cross reference number? I heard this grommet is shared with Dodge V8's.

    Thanks,

    Rick

Have you tried Partsrack (JonB) or Chuck Tator, Tators Garage (formerly Tators Dodge)?

I plan reaching out to JonB. I didn't realize Tator stocked parts, thanks for the tip.

I sent an email out. I'll let you know if I get any leads.

BTW, I outgrew the attic. I build a small warehouse. Please update your notes as such

Okay got a reply back from my Mopar parts guy. No inventory at Mopar or dealers that use that system. Private inventories like Jon B or Tator are obviously outside of that realm.

Thanks Dave, and noted you now have your own private warehouse of spares.

I will note having recently put one in my engine that they it was a pain to install. I think it's designed for something thinner than the casting thickness at the top of that block.

On a related note tho I was looking on the web at PCV grommets and there are some similar looking ones out there. If I find a match to the Gen 2 one I'll post the p/n just in case Ryan and Jon run out.

I have a spare but I chose not to use it. My car is far from “Concourse”. NAPA has one with the same dimensions and fits better than OEM. I’ve used it without any issues. NAPA Part # 630-1039. You can Google for a pic. I have pics of it installed, but all my pics are on my phone and this damned website/forum is terrible via mobile.

Last month was a huge U Joint thread / analysis. In stock, 100% accurate advise here, But No sale here....... but saved $5 elsewhere?

Its time I retired........ Maybe a burn pile of OEM grommets for New Years?

I certainly dont mind losing a $10, profitless sale. Its the principle.

I just ordered a tail light from Jon (somebody backed into my Viper...ugh!) because I knew I'd get the right part. I also got some good advice regarding insurance claims as a bonus. Thanks Jon.

I get what you’re saying, but 10.00 for the part, and shipping compared to 4.00 at NAPA Down the street is a no brainer this time. I’ve bought quite a bit from you, including two sets of tires, and will continue. Get over the ujoint saga. I’m still looking for font and rear sway bar end links, if you happen to scrounge some up.

Have any of the Viper vendors ever sent you an incorrect part? I'm being serious. I've dealt with every one of them over the decades and never had a feeling of being unsure that way. Many other aspects to a parts transaction of course.
