    ACR vs ACRE Bilstein Suspension

I was wondering if there was any difference between the two cars with respect to the Bilstein coilovers. Were they spec’d the same?

I had the opportunity to buy a set and wanted to make sure since they are off of an ACR without the E. To the best of my knowledge, the E just added larger wing, splitter, diffuser and hood extractors.

There must at least be spring differences as well, to compensate for the additional aero. I wouldn't be surprised if the valving was slightly different too, for the same reason.

Scotts right different spring rates but valving ,piston, and oil stayed same. Not unusual for production shocks to keep same valving, piston and oil.

Really? You guys checked it out? Its so hard to find official documentation. Here is a snippet from Factory Chrysler Parts. I know things like ACR (non E) aero was discontinued like the wing. They only stock the E wing. The non E wing is at the bottom as a discontinued item. However, for the suspension, there is only one part number. Nothing at the bottom. That is why I was curious. Bottom are 2016 and 2017 parts.

Documentation, parts manuals, part#s on the vipers gets a little dicey in certain areas.
4564.00 per shock is pricey but better then it used to be. You can get our custom built race shocks with active ride height control system all 4 corners on your viper for almost the price of 2 factory bilsteins.

Here are the specs. This doesn't show a difference in anything which I always believed. Going to Chrysler employee database next.

I searched the following VINS currently for sale and DealerConnect is saying suspension is identical. The suspension sale code is SDKS. Stabilizer bars are identical to the TA as per the specifications on FCA's website. The TA suspension is SDVP.

All below vins have the same spring, shock and strut assembly, and stabilizer bar. PN's also below.

    2016 ACR

    2016 ACRE

    Rear

    68252778AA Spring <- 68252768AC Spring <- 68252768AD Spring
68252768AC Spring and Shock Assembly <- 68252768AD Spring and Shock Assembly

I don't think that's correct. I've seen data tables posted either on the Gen V or the Track forum that shows a clear difference in bar diameter and even baseline alignment for the various wing cars.

I stand corrected. I guess it was spring rates that varied.
