    Washed the car

...and while I was washing it I noticed the passenger side window was down about 1/4 an inch as if it was indexed. I get in to put the window up and it won't go up. I try down and it won't go down. I had adjusted the passenger side mirror before I started to wash the car and noticed I had it too high. It won't adjust.

So the window is stuck down just a hair and the mirror won't work.

There was a sizable bird sh!t between the mirror and the front of the passenger window and I used a good amount of water and washed it multiple times. I'm thinking water got in there and shorted out a connection. I even did the window reset of up and down 3 times for 5 seconds each.

    Thoughts?

There is a TSB on the door node for water infiltration on certain years. The fix is to replace the door node, the wire harness, and install a plastic cover over the door node.

StrokerAce, my 14 GTS started doing this exact thing a couple of summers back, and like every other fun electrical gremlin, it is intermittent. I still don't trust it fully, and I watch for it every time. Resetting the switch usually works. 98% of the time, it works normal. But when it doesn't, it's always a lot of fun. It's that last little bit where the window (index?) drops to get out of the roof when the door is opened. I've even had it once where it didn't drop, and closing it was a f*@%. Or when you drive at highway speeds, that tiny crack becomes a high pitch whistle that only dogs and Viper owners can hear.

When I read the title of this post... I thought for sure it was going to be about the mirrors dripping for days. But that's another story!

I tried the reset where you hold the button up for 5 seconds and then down for 5 seconds and repeat three times but no luck. Is there another reset?

The passenger side mirror doesn't move either which has me thinking something got wet.

You should take it to the dealer or if you don't wish to do that remove the inside door panel and examine the door node for corrosion and/or water. Check the where the harness plugs in as well. Water could have dried by now but not before blowing the door node. The door node is the electronics box above the speaker.

I'm not too far from the central FL Viper tech so I reached out to him. I have the recall for the door handles anyway so why not do it in one shot? If it's too far out from now maybe I will do it myself. I leave for vacation in a few weeks anyway so doubtful I will drive the car much till mid December.
