3000+ WHP Gen V Viper engine in Juggernaut by Nth Moto

This video is quite a bit different approach for us with some more information than normal to try and help people understand the thought process and effort that goes into designing a build such as this, so for the technical minded individual it should be a fun watch. It also shows our new facility addition with our sound reduction booth with full air exchange system, which has been awesome to house our new Dynocom Tripod hub dyno system.

You could make the same argument for any generation of Viper on the street...no one needs that much power to just drive around, but it's nice to have a deep reserve available when you want to have fun.

Drag racing isn't everyone's thing, but for me, it is the only form of racing to which I have easy access, so I certainly understand it. It can be frustrating as all hell...I'm still trying to get in the 10s while rowing my own gears after nearly 4 years of trying, but I'll be damned if it isn't fun crossing the traps at nearly 130 MPH after covering only a quarter of a mile. I can't imagine going 70 MPH faster like this one has done on less power than it made in the video above...it'd be one hell of a rush.

If I had the resources, I'd love to do a build like this, but that's just not where I'm at in life, and likely never will be. It's still pretty cool to watch from the sidelines though.

I think the reason us guys chase WHP is the bling you get on your man card for each 1000 HP increment, 1000 WHP gets you a small bronze star on your card, 2000 WHP gets you a medium size silver star and 3000 WHP gets you a really big gold star and if you actually drive your 3000 WHP in events you get extra credit, the man card organization won't tell me what it but it has to be something amazing.

Man, I can't imagine being that guy who designed the original block who flew to Italy decades ago to build a V10 that produced all of 400HP (which was nothing to sneeze at then) and then to think someday, even after it's been put to sleep and resurrected twice, completed five generations, it'll still have a viable following NOW and become a build capable of 3100HP EATING 39 LBS OF BOOST.

I'm speechless of how you could fit so much into the space of a gen2 and still have room to spare. It's a lot of stuff, but it doesn't look cramped in some mysterious way.

Sorry for the delay everyone, we were competing with this car and four other Viper's down at FL2K this past weekend. Juggernaut went a best of 7.16 @ 205 and also ran a 7.17, 7.17, 7.18, 7.22 and a 7.44 off the trailer. It ended up breaking the driveshaft on what ended up being our last pass due to that at 1000' and went a 7.21 @ 180. It trapped between 205-210, with most being 208-210. The weather was awful and we're still working on the short track before we bring all the power in up top, but it was an absolutely outstanding outing for the car and we were qualified number two in the Street Car Shootout class behind a very fast FC RX7 with a 555 BBC with twin turbos, methanol, 4 link, etc. We learned a ton and can't wait to get a new driveshaft in it and be out at it again!

Quite a bit, although it too has similarities to options we do on the Gen V platform. When we do an automatic conversion it uses a lot of the same parts, including the ATI TH400 transmission itself, that we use on those. This also has a unique and robust rear differential setup and custom tubular control arms, giant axles, etc.

Thanks, it's been a long time coming for us and doing the dyno "right" was the only way we wanted to do it. It's a complete sound barrier room as well as an air exchange system that moves 72K CFM so it cycles the air over 10 times per minute in the room. Much safer for the team both in and out of the room, much more accurate on big power cars, and much less distraction to the shop when something is on the dyno making noise.

No, we have our own sleeve that we do for the engine. All else about the block is stock though, with no fill or concrete or blocked passages, etc.

No, there are much easier and quicker ways to go fast. But, this car was absolutely the star of the show down at FL2K this weekend garnering a tremendous amount of attention for being so unique, fast, and beautiful if I can say so myself.

Sure is, the new GoPro 9. The sound barrier room helps too, it's effectively a booth - cool side bonus of doing the room the way we did!

Thanks Tim - that's something we pride ourselves in, is the design work ahead of time to try to avoid anything looking like an afterthought. I'd love to show off the bottom of the car as it's equally as impressive, but that might give away too much.
