    Emergency handle???

Opened the trunk lid on the RT today and underneath there is a yellow emergency handle with a small cable attached going somewhere....Looked in the manual and couldn't find anything....I assume it's an emergency handle for the hood latch like has been on a couple vette's I've owned....is this correct?

    Thanks

Just looked at it again and it's a emergency handle that 's attached to the trunk latch....Seems kinda useless,if you lost your key or something and needed to get in the trunk there is no way to get to it from inside the car?...

Starting in (I think) 2002 every car had to have the glow in the dark inside release to avoid entrapment. Supposed to save lives whether you just happen to get stuck in the trunk or were placed there by a car jacker...

Federal requirement. It is in case you lock yourself inside your trunk. You pull that to get out. It is supposed to glow in the dark.

Emergency Trunk Release mandated: "I'm from the US Government and I am trying to help you."

make sure you 100% kill the gangster/or wife first before you stuff his body in the trunk so he/she does not get a chance to pull that cord...or

cut that pesky handle off ... or

just use an older sedan that does not have that cord to transport the body
