Gen 2 Hennessey Venom 1000TT

Looking for any info on Gen 2 vipers with the Hennessey Venom 1000 twin turbo kit. I have an opportunity to buy a 2001 GTS with the venom 1000 tt kit. The car was built by Hennessey in 2001 and is still owned by the original owner. Does anyone know anything about these cars as far as how many were made and have any sold recently. I tried to get some info from Hennessey but they don’t have any records going back that far. What do you think the car is worth. What are the things to look for as far as issues with Gen 2s.

Hennessey has not had the best reputation among Viper owners. There are many who will refuse to answer you as they don't want to get involved in anything regarding Hennessey. Others may chime in as to specifics if they are willing. Just don't want to leave you hanging on your first post on the website. Welcome.

A Google search on Hennessy Vipers and customer complaints is all you need to know, also "claimed" dayno figures.

Good luck. There were stories out there of him removing parts from customers cars and fitting them on other cars back in the day.
