Does the Viper have any issues with something being plugged into ODBII port?

    Eyeing one of these http://www.automatic.com/

The Viper isn't supported as they haven't tested it. They say that they don't know how the car would behave if something is in the ODB2 port...

Would there be any reason what so ever something could cause an issue?

I use a GoPoint BT1 bluetooth unit when I track, it seems to work fine. It connects to my iPhone and gives throttle, RPM, speed and gear selection to Harry's Lap Timer, Grand Prix Edition.

That said, once in a while I get errors with Harry's. Harry's is famous for this, so it may have nothing to do with the Viper. I think it's because the GoPoint was loose, in fact it fell off during one session when my friend Mike was driving at Laguna Seca. Pretty sure he knocked it off with his leg, as I didn't tell him to watch out for it when entering / exiting.

Oh and Harold, that will stick out towards your legs. I don't think I would want to leave it in all the time, it will get in the way. But it's fine on occasion, such as when I track.

Ha, yeah thats always an issue. Someone indicated to me that ODB2 port really isn't meant to have something in it 24/7 either

I think it is a really cool product, but ah may not work!
