Car themed watches? Here's the best I've seen.

I saw a couple of threads about Viper watches, and had to show this one to y'all.

It's the coolest "car watch" I've ever seen. Too bad there's a limited run of 50 and they're over $300k each.

These are nice, way out of my price range though

I have also seen these on the AutoArt website but sadly they seem only to sell to the home market

Those are beautiful ... but I noticed that they're no prices listed which is usually indicative of EXPENSIVE.

Well, they're not THAT expensive. More than I can rightfully afford, but mostly under 10G's ($).

I can't discern from the descriptions whether they are mechanical or not. I guess "automatic" means mechanical? If they are mechanical, well, then they may hold some value.

    Still beautiful!

"Mechanical" in a horological sense usually means you have to wind it manually every day or so.

"Automatic" means it has a rotor-wound mechanical movement, wound by a centrifugal rotor when it is worn/rotated.

"Mechanical-Automatic" is synonymous with automatic. Just empasises that you can wind it, or induce motion-winding on your arm or a winder device.

OK professor, my refernce was simply to distinguish between quarts/electrical watches and mechanical timepieces. You may know more about watches (or the study thereof = horological) than me, but I know far more about Vipers than you!

    Ooops. Curse you Jon!

I'll stick with my Citizen......it works. Just a pain to return yearly for battery changes.

    Wow, those are stunning!

I have always had a thing for clocks and watches, I could never have enough!

I love Rado watches..., Skagen too- still very slim and affordable.
