    WTB Gen2 Floormats

I have a 2000 ACR and I feel like the Floor mat moves around a lot so it's time to get some new ones. Hopefully I can find some original OEM ones but OEM style ones. Thought I'd try here before I went to Lloyds Mats. I have a set of those in another car and think even the "OEM" style ones are too thick.

Please let me know what anyone has that will fit my car.

    Thank you in advance.

    You like thinner mats?

You should know that OE mats from Mopar were very thin and flimsy. You can roll them up like a big tube. They bunch up under your feet with pedal action. Their original MSRP was $46 and $50 G2, and $79 SRT. Sold as an aftermarket accessory by Moper thru Dealers, not OE.

Thicker Aftermarket mats run about $179, - $350 for the thick, plush, tapestry mats. Tap-Mats Stay stiffly planted even if you ROLL the car. I know.

Thank you for the info Jon.

    I do prefer thinner mats.

I have a set of Lloyd Velourtex Mats in my Shelby GT350R. They are beautiful but too cushy/soft. I prefer something thinner than those. Don't seem to be having any luck finding original OEM ones with the "Sneaky Pete" logo.

Ones I currently have have the later Viper logo on which explains why the Driver Side mat never fits right and covers the hatch latch on the left side of the foot area. HOnestly before I moved it today, I didn't realize there was an inside hatch release!

Have some made. Check with auto upholstery guys. I called locally and the guy said he could.
Another place may be a company that makes boat covers: canvas type. I had some made about 30 years ago. I installed new carpet in the car and with the leftover I had them make 4 mats. Looked great.

I emailed with Lloydmats and confirmed the measurements. I think they will fit great so I thought I'd give the Velourtex another try withe Viper.
