Your observation is so relative to this dyno chart and difficult to fully appreciate in words. The Prefix 9LX conversion typically creates ~600 lb-ft. at ~3500 RPMs and increases up to ~750 lb-ft.

For perspective, 600 lb-ft. is the maximum torque output of the OEM stock motor (645hp / 600lb-ft).

I do realize there are ways to create more torque and horsepower, but for a naturally aspirated motor (with GPS, A/C and leather seats - LOL), it is hard to dispute this is an exceptional conversion. I have 4,500 miles on my 9LX and the red button works everytime.

Congrats to the OP and Scot/Team @ Prefix on the 9LX. The dry sump is exceptional!

That's on the list for sure!

I had multiple oil pump failures. once at the track. second was on the highway suddenly oil pressure 0. stayed 0. engine turned off and coasted it until stop. pulled engine out! everything is clean. not one damage! it's the oil pump! maybe a faulty one? IDK

Heads cam setup is absolutely great! loved every sec driving it but i feel issues start coming up beating on it at the track! OR maybe I'm not lucky!LOL

That's really cool. Heard nothing but great things from everyone that has dealt with them. That is a rare thing these days and really nice to see.

I used a One if those on my VRL Viper years ago. It never let me down. I also used a accusump to "pre-oil" the engine before I cranked it cold. That motor had 2 all out race seasons on it and never had a failure. After VRL ended I pulled the pan to inspect the rod and main bearings and they still looked REALLY good like 30,000mi motor good!

The stroker crank was designed with a chevy rod journal

What's up with that?
The ARP main stud kit only has the extra threaded portion on the studs that need it. So the studs that mount the oil pump, and the crank scrapper are the only ones that get the extended tip studs.
The factory bolts are all the same and all of them have the threaded stud on top of them.

I'm getting a petersons 3 gallon tank for placing it infront of the passenger wheel. will corner balance the car, and test it this season! I have concern about corner entry having 3 gallons infront of the wheel but the ACR makes ton of downforce in the front so it might not be an issue. only way to find out is testing it. Don't really want to install it in the trunk but will see what happens. I'll be dropping some weight of the car as well going carbon bucket seats! and a lot of carbon parts from Doug!
Putting the oil tank in front of the passenger wheel is a not a good idea. We have tested and raced extensively for the past 3 years with the dry sump system we mfg for the 5th gen vipers and the best placement for the tank is in the right rear corner.

Awesome build! I need that for my comp coupe!

Thanks Scot - That explains it.. i was getting excited for a bit that maybe they were stepping in to viper specific items. Oh well - ha! do you all use the big or small journal sizes? Awesome work (as expected from you all)!

The stroker crank was designed with the SBC rod journal, that way a chevy rod can be used. Much more selection and ease of obtaining parts!
The do make a stock stroke crank that has the OE rod pin journal.

If we are using a stock crank always stick with the stock rod journal size, if you turn it down to the SBC size the crank becomes too thin between the lightening hole and journal surface.

I got a luck chance to see this same motor in the engine shop being built. It is literally a work of art! Thanks again Scott. My car runs beautifully. I also got a change to get a ride in Medusa, with the 9.0L... guess what my next upgrade is.

used to live close to them, I would've visited for sure. Is that you at Yas Marina in your profile picture?

Yes, I did the Formula 3000 and AMG GT experience there. I have some friends that live in Dubai that I like to go visit. I had seen a Dark Grey ACR parked at the mall when I was there. The plate was beside the drivers light.

So Here is the whole Dry Sump setup for NA engine.
Firstly, you will need to choose a tank size that will fit! 2nd the location!
I went with ARA1 2.5 gallon tank 24x6. as I will be running stock oil cooler. If I went with bigger rear mounted oil cooler I could go with 2 gallon tank. But with my situation not running more than 30 min sessions I see that stock oil cooler proved itself.

As my ACR is the one with 3 speakers I don't have amplifier in the back. attached is the spot I choose. I can corner balance the car no problem and don't worry it will be all boxed up nicely with heat shielding away from the electric cables. working on that right now.

Attached is diagram for the pump.
    1) Scavenge outlets you will run a -16 line all the way to the oil tank. I added XRP 75 micron inline filter just to pickup anything from going to the tank. Makes it little be of a cleaner setup. XRP filter is placed on the chassis next to the Diff. Prefer passenger side close to the tank
    2) Vacuum line or pressure inlet from oil tank back to the pump: This line should be -12 and shouldn't have any restrictions! (Very important) You could also choose a specific vacuum line for this but the pump vacuum isn't that strong in the Viper to make the line collapse! Still don't cheap out on the line.
    3) pressure outlet from pump to stock oil cooler the line is -12 then to oil filter (see-through filter in my case) is -12 as well. Last from oil filter to the feed line on the passenger side of the block line is -12 but the feed fitting is AN -10.
    4) Tank breather location is under the passenger side taillight, there is venting on the side and under on top of the diffuser. Breather line is -12. You could make it -16 so the velocity of the gases doesn't pull much oil going out the system.

Priming the engine: we actually removed spark plugs! started the car few time. I think 5 times then you could see the oil go through the see through filter right to the engine. That was pretty cool to see. The Dailey engineering pump is impressive. After about a minute there was 80 Psi pressure in the engine. We started it. Was as smooth as it gets.

Hope this help you get an idea, It's pretty easy to do actually. Just needs some time and good thought of it.

I want to thank Scot from Prefix
    Martin from TKO
and Billy from Dry sump solutions
Without their knowledge and help this would be as easy as it looks.

See through filter is a 60 micron element that could handle w50 weight oil max! It's located behind the coolant reservoir under the brace. we made a custom bracket for it. IMG_1959.jpg

You will need to trim the front undercover as it will hit the oil pump pulley! Attached is what's going on. I'll be getting the TKO Dry sump belly pan!

I actually need an advice. So with the pedal Learn throttle before we start the car we put ignition on pushed throttle down, kept holding then off. Turned the car on everything is smooth. Radio screen is locked due to probably having the battery disconnected for few months. Tried to check with hptuners if I could do the the relearn but Couldn't and everything seemed working perfect. pushing throttle to 94%, car idling perfect, no weird anything! Did the car learn the new ECU? maybe I'm lil paranoid!LOL .. Don't really wanna take it to the dealer as they are not trust worthy here in Dubai. Yes they are the worst trust me.

Question is Do I need a computerize dealer relearn on the arrow PCM ?

    Thanks,
    Abdulla

Yeah I highly recommend you do it. When mine needed it you would have never known until you floored it, then let off to shift, the car would still have full throttle for a split second after letting off. Good way to blow a motor...
