Scanner to read codes and such

I am looking to buys a scanner for my fleet. Pretty much all other cars are basic, but the viper. I think almost any scanner can pull codes from a Honda. What about the viper? I don't want to buy a DRB 3, as it will only service one car and they are so expensive. Is there anything else that is recommended that can work with a Gen 3?

I would suggest that you start with a straightforward code reader that can clear codes...in case it goes into limp mode on the road. Actron, Innova, Harbor Freight are all sources with prices ranging from $40 to $100. One can go higher with more functions including freeze frame, ABS, etc.

I have this one. In addition to engine codes, it isolated which wheel sensor went bad when the ABS light came on, on a Gen3.

Just bought an Autel MaxiCheck Pro. Just used it to clear a code I got after unhooking the battery. Has live data functions and depending on the car do a lot more. I mainly got it to cycle/bleed the ABS pump on my Chevy pick up I had to change all the brake lines on because Chevy has shit engineers.
