No real need to change OE wires on OE car at 15K. Plugs are a 50-50 maybe. But not due to cats/catback

I think scheduled maintenance on the plugs is 100,000miles

I just changed my plugs at 14,400. They were ready. The original plugs are Champion 3032,I upgraded to the Champion 7032 (double Platinum). The gap is .050 I also upgraded the plug wires a year earlier to the Morose that I got from Doug Shelby. The idle really cleaned up and the throttle response feels crisper.
Here is the post I placed when I was looking for advise on mine. https://driveviper.com/forums/thread...ght=spark+plug

thanks Jon, i'll be calling you soon sir.

SRT_BluByU - i'm sure your right, I bought the car with almost 10k miles, I just want to verify all is good, so figure might as well change them while I got them out, and start fresh.

Whether you need plugs or not, it would be nice to "read" them, a lot can be learned.

Plugs still give you a lot of data, injectors and computers are susceptible to problems also.

I had just heard fuel and injection and the computers mask the conditions in the cylinder making getting good readings/information from the plugs not as straight forward as when we had carbs.. not that they correct problems.. just mask the condition... interesting youre still getting good readings. Nice to know. Thanks!
