    Brake Fluid

Does anyone know how much brake fluid acr calipers how?

There is no set value as the least amount of fluid is with new pads and rotors without any brake application. The most fluid in the caliper is with worn pads and rotors with full brake application.

Are you trying to flush or bleed the system?

Yeah just bleeding. Just curious. Want to make sure I bleed enough but don’t want to waste more than I need to.

Bleed the caliper (outside bleeder first, then inside) until fluid is clear and looks new. When it looks clear and new you have flushed what you need to. I go RR, LR, RF, then LF.

That’s typically what I do I was just wondering if someone knew a front holds say 5oz. you would know you flushed out all that was in the caliper. Thanks guys.

I was always told inside than outside?
With the concept being the old fluid doesn't run through the caliper jut the line, and only fresh fluid through the caliper.

I believe the Service Manual states outside first. I think that is the case.

Same...I do outside then inside bleeder screw...but some say to bleed across diagonally based on zoning. That being RR, LF, LR, RF (my Z06 was this way so did my ACR the same). To also help, you can pull out the old fluid as much as possible - but not until it’s completely empty - and fill/top with fresh fluid in the reservoir. At about 15-17psi, I bleed each for about 5-10 seconds. Then do another round (bleed all again for about another 5 seconds). Some fluids have dye to help...but as long as I see clear fluid and no bubbles, I know I’m good. These cars are pretty good and keeping dirt and air out of the system unless you introduce it.
