FS New Arrow Prefix Gen V Race Controller

    Hi,

I’m selling a Gen V Viper Arrow/Prefix race controller. Fits 2013-2014 Vipers. Sold my Viper before I had a chance to install it. It doesn’t have my VIN in it. Since it was never programmed all you need to do is take it to your local dealer to have them program your VIN and mileage and perform the electronic throttle control (ETC) relearn. Paid $1100+, asking $750 shipped. Since it's brand new without a VIN, you do not need to pay Arrow/Prefix a transfer fee. Thanks for looking.

Whats different about the 13-14 that would make it incompatible with the 15-17?

TA #85, I assume you were the owner of the Orange TA #85? Sold, eh? Mind sharing to whom?

I'm far from an expert but I recall the 13-14 Arrow Controller being different and incompatible with the later cars. Differences between the early and late cars that I know of include: different gearing - except on TA's- and a 645 hp rating vs. 640 hp on the earlier cars. Obviously, 5 hp isn't much but there are likely some calibration differences. When I bought mine 5 years ago there were different part numbers for early and late and I was told that I had to be careful in ordering to make certain that I got the correct one.

BTW mine's been in for almost 5 years now and it's been fantastic. The only time I swap it out is if it goes to the dealer for something. I was also warned not to have the Arrow Controller in the car during dealer service or it could get flashed to the latest version of the regular Dodge Controller. And I definitely do not need two of those.

I'd imagine that Arrow could flash an early Controller to work with a newer car but they won't likely do so for free.

I got me one of these. Not a guarantee, but should at least raise an eyebrow and get a tech to ask.

Clever! I would never have thought of that. However, at some Dodge stores, I can imagine a tech thinking it's just the usual reminder for him to not open his coveralls in public again.

I think is the difference in the throttle bodies...that's wgere the extra 5 hp came from.
