Thanks to all the Veterans for their service and sacrifice to our great Country

I know there are alot of current and past Service Personnel on the VOA Forum and all of us want to reach out and thank you for your years of Dedication and Sacrifice. Let us not forget those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in order that so many of us can enjoy a happy and comfortable life. Please , take the time to list your name , your branch of service, as well as listing any of your family members who may not have come back from the many conflicts we have been in to protect others. I want to personally dedicate my listing to my father , Col. Gene T. Pemberton, USAF Wild Weasel Pilot, who my family lost over Hanoi in 1966. I still remember so fondly the many lessons he taught me growing up, and I know the impact he had on my beliefs and his pride in protecting others in this Country. It really is a time to stop and reflect , because we are in another trying time in our Country, and we will get through this too. Bless all of you that gave time to this Country and we cherish this day as a small gesture to honor and respect your commitment helping so many others.

    God Bless

Wild Weasel Pilots were SAM Magnets. Scary Duty indeed. Heroes all.....

Thanks Jon, I never knew any of my friends whose dad's were also Wild Weasels who came home.

But there are so many others and I sure hope those folks who served or are serving list themselves today so we can all give honor to their names, duty, and service.

Loved controlling the Phantoms of the 15th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron (15th TRS) in the late 1980's out of Kadena AFB Okinawa Japan. As a Marine controller, the USAF pilots loved to work with us. Phantoms Phorever!! Semper FI.

Thanks Ellow, Dad actually was a F105 Weasel Pilot prior to the switch over to the Phantoms - always wished he had been flying the Phantom as they had a much better return rate. I was born at your current Station , though a very, very long time ago, haha!

Can't say enough about the freedom we enjoy because of the Service of other Americans! My Son makes the 4th Generation of our Family who served. My Dad was a three War Veteran. My Son was a Crew Chief on the F-22 Raptor, deployed twice. I was in the Army in the Big Red 1 '75 to '79. Not looking for anything, we are all glad we served. This is definitively a great day to celebrate being an AMERICAN .
