    Front Fascia Removal

Had a dick head punk kid deliberately drive onto the shoulder to kick up gravel in front of me and now I have some chips in the front fascia on the 2008. The person I trust t do the paint is 2 hours away, and to me it would be easier/safer to just bring him the fascia versus bringing the whole car down to risk getting damage driving back because the roads in Illinois suck.

I am sure there are some who have done it, and can probably do it within 15 minutes...but I have not been able to find the steps to do it. Can anyone share?

    Thanks

    I just did this today.
The trick is the "69" nuts on the right and left sides under the headlights.
I have a lift but still found it easier to take off the wheels. There is a removable panel behind the headlights. this is not the pop out square panel but above it.
there is a phillips screw in a plastic rivet , a plastic rivet (these on top and hard to see) and a pair of rather cool twist out plastic screws.
unplug the fog lamps they are defeated using your fingernail and pull the black tab towars you. The blue grips are a fake they seem to do nothing.
Once the double nuts on each side and the fog lamps are done start taking out all visible screws and it will come right off.
1/4 inch rachet and 10mm socket for those pain in ass bumper fender nuts on side by headlamps.
    5/16 socket for front screws
    phillips screwdriver
do yourself a favor and remove front wheels.

Its late and I gotta get up. this is the jist of it. I need to get mine painted too. I am in delaware and if yours comes out good and you near me let me know who did it and how much.

    later JR
