Removing TA 2 0 front splitters how to

Does anyone know how to take the splitters off completely? I removed the bolts from the plastic rub strip, then all the bolts that seems to hold the splitter on but that sucker is still on tight. Is there rivets or something im not seeing? Thanks in advance

In the image, item 10 appears to be the 2 front pieces. Item 11 indicates a revit, presumably used to attach it to the front facia.

There are 4 rivets on each splitter. They are not easy to remove. You have to remove the bumper and get at them from the inside of the bumper and they are hard to reach and re-install. Need a small rivet gun to do it properly

Small Rivet gun? I believe they are 1/4 inch rivets. These are big rivets and you need a special BIG rivet gun to install them. My rivet gun, which I bough especially for these rivets is like 18 inches long. These rivets are also hard to find. The dealer wants around $5 a piece. They are available much, much cheaper but you have to search for them.

Sorry, I meant compact rivet gun. The way the bumper is shaped on the inside, it’s hard to access the rivet. I don’t have shop air and I was using a hand-held riveting tool and couldn’t even reach the two center rivets.

Can't you get at the rivets if you take the belly pan off...without removing the bumper? Since your removing and not installing, you can use a 90 degree air drill/angle grinder.

Here's a pic of the inside of mine for reference. I have the xtreme cf pieces, so they bolted in.

I have a set of TA splitters in storage if you are interested. You can get the TA2 rub strips to go with them.

I see that you used bolts with washer on the top side side. What about on the splitter side? What did you use?

I have the xtreme supercars version. This is how they mount...4 bolts from the top and one screw on the wheel well side of business. I just showed the pic because it showed the inside of the bumper...I'd imagine xtreme used the same mounting points as OEM.

Threaded metal inserts! Very nice, I like that design. OEM used rivets. Strong but a pain in the ass to deal with when removing.

I was actually quite impressed with this piece...well made...they even provided a template to help mount.

Im curious do you still have the template? i purchased factory splitters and need to install them.... i messaged xtreme supercars and they were unsure if their template would directly match the factory holes (they said it probably would since they modeled it from the factory). Im sure since i didnt purchase their splitters they have less interest in helping me with a template.... any interest in selling template?
