Not sure if you’re interested but I have a valve train package minus the valves that came from an Arrow heads cam package. I would sell everything in this picture including the cam. Let me know if you’re interested by messaging me please.
You can ask Antonio Calvo, he’s great at just sharing info. My VE / Arrow H/C ACR would get some float, and it’s the the springs according to several shops I talked to. Antonio has an upgrade he uses and sells, I can’t recall the details though but you can reach out to him and see. I’d say the same for A&C and Nth as well.
(Vs asking us knuckleheads, lol, j/k, but seriously)
It's not as simple as PAC duals vs. Comp Cams beehives - it depends on the rest of your valve train, including your cam.
If it is just preventive maintenance, and your car has run fine with what you already had, just go with them again.
All valve spring manufacturers have had bad batches from time to time, but if you run a spring that isn't designed to do what you need it to do, it would be an absolute disaster regardless of who made it. There are all different specs available, and you are best talking to an expert about it. And to be clear, that's not this forum.
Thanks guys.
I’m a dual spring fan and always will be. I just feel there is an added layer of protection. As Steve said, anything component used in the wrong application can be a disaster, but I have always had the opinion that if a dual spring fails the chances of dropping a valve is lower because of the second spring. I’m far from an expert though!
There were a small percentage of the early HC cars that had valve spring issues.
Choosing valve springs is a complex decision that depends on a lot of factors. Here's a good superficial read about the factors you need to consider https://help.summitracing.com/app/an...hould-i-buy%3F
Here are mine. Heads/cam/valvetrain was spec'd by Will at RSI. Very knowledgeable. I'd recommend giving him a call. I could not answer your question though, good luck. 7Heads Close.jpg
