Did I imagine it, or did Ralph say in the article that the Viper will not be the most powerful SRT car since there is an in-house rival implied to be the upcoming Challenger re-do? Not sure how I feel about the Challenger having more HP than the Viper...

I think the point is that the Viper won't (well can't) be the king of all domains in 2014. I really see SRT pushing the Viper to be a track focused machine and leaving the drag strip behind. With that, I think they'd argue that you don't necessarily need more HP to dominate on the track.

I think Ralph really just needs to sort of define better what the Viper will be in 2014 and going forward. It has an identity crisis at the moment, IMHO.

The rumor on Allpar is that the Hellcat Hemi Challenger SRT (6.2L w/ screw type supercharger) may have 680 hp. Just rumor at this point, and I am guessing that we will find out the real specs at the New York Auto Show in April. I am hoping that we see either the convertible or ACR Viper there too. Time will tell.

I believe the Hellcat will be unveiled at LX Spring Festival 2014.... though we should see redesigned challenger at NYIAS
Edit: Hellcat Challenger and Charger confirmed for LX Springfest unveil. However, refreshed challenger and charger to debut at NYIAS. Apparently they're adding a non-SRT 6.4 to the lineup
