Replace Hinges www.ViperPartsRackAmerica.com
or just buy a generic Prop-Rod as for closet rod.....one vendor has RED ones with a logo!!!
Some owners lubed the hinges,
Don't, you need bit of friction to keep the Hood open,
Spray the hinges with some brake cleaner to remove any Lube, then see if it holds up?

Jon is right on. I found a telescoping prop rod in red one ebay for no money at all. My hood stays open fine, but I use it when I am working under there, just in case I knock into it or something stupid like that. $9 rod saves hood valued at ridiculous money. plus, it slides easily alongside the passenger seat out of sight . Always have it wherever I go. Also essential for Car Shows and Cruise ins. They all want to see the V10!
It does not damage the hood or car when it falls. Ask me why I know this.
Mine has come down on it's own way more than once. It just lands slightly harder than most people would normally close theirs as I've been near it each time it happened.
I took a leg off a cheap camera tripod I had collecting dust. Collapsed, it fits neatly next to my seat.
I knew I had seen one somewhere!

Jut go down to your local walmart Or any DIY cleaning product store and buy an adjustable (telescopic locking) mop or broom stick.
Or raid the Wifes cleaning cupboard

Please tell me you get the hinges fixed...
So far Mine is staying up, sorry to hear that some of you guys are having a hard time keeping it up.
BLRD
Would Viagra work?
😂😂😂 Thanks for your answer
I checked how well my hood stays open... here's the point until it will stay open without any broom sticks etc.... it's almost horizontal. Beyond this point it will slowly come down itself....

I use a hockey stick...Canadian eh!
I just leave mine dirty. The friction does the rest.
Mine stays open on it's own unless it windy or I accidentally bump it. So I use this for safety.
I worry about being at a car show and a gust of wind blows it down and it decapitates a child standing too closeIMG_1886 (2).jpg
