    Early Spring

Thanks to a very mild winter in Maine, I was able to extract the Viper from its winter storage location yesterday and bring it home. Felt sooooo good to drive it, especially since my life is a rather underwater now with my role at a large medical center ( you can imagine). Seeing a red Viper in late March had the heads snapping, as you can imagine!. Car is awesome and ran great after its nap. Hope you all are staying well.

Thanks for being on the front line at the medical center. In these difficult times, it's people like you who make America great!

My yellow 01 GTS was in storage at a local dealership until I snagged it. It's still cool here and now it going to be rainy but I've had it out a couple of times and really enjoyed rowing through the gears. Even on the grey days, when I open the door to the garage and turn on the light, the yellow viper is like sunrise. It makes me smile and feel good.

We are almost there. Need to live through the COVID19 curve and hopefully sunnier days after that. I'm in the market for a 4 post lift, What brand is yours? Happy with it? Thanks, Steve

I've been driving all winter. Pretty mild winter. My family is OK and taking whatever precautions we can. Hope this Virus is all in the rear view mirror soon.

Re: 4 post lifts. My 4 post is from a company out of N. Attleboro, Mass called Teclift. Tool and Equipment Connection. Good people. Good lift. I've had it 17 years with no issues. Just changed the cables for the 1st time. Best tool in the garage.

Sorry I missed your question about the 4 post lift. Here is the link to where I got it. http://www.aresco.org/4_post_EFP8.html

I got this one because the supplier is about 20 miles away so delivery and installation was easier. I've had it for about a year and it has worked perfectly. I don't know who actually manufactures this design but it seems to be pretty common. A minor issue for me is the width between the columns. The Lamborghini is very wide and I need to retract the mirrors to give me some comfort when pulling on to the ramps. I also need to use the front end lift feature on the car to not scrape the nose as I pull in. The Lambo is pretty low. The 'Cuda and the Prowler are not an issue. I have not tried the Viper yet.

Thanks Steve. I appreciate the link. If you ever try the Viper, let me know how that goes. I'd say you have a good deal of confidence in the lift, give the upper and lower residents! Steve

Darn it, we still have snow up here in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Should be gone in 3 weeks as its warmer and warmer each day so melting happens fast as its like the switch is flipped.

Thanks CapeVettes. Always love to see the pics of your garage...and its contents. I am after a four post that is movable. I know some manufacturers have that capability. Been looking at the Bendix line, but open to others with good personal recommendations like yours. That matters a great deal. Need mine for storage and maint so considering the options carefully. Are you making room for a C8? Steve

Yes, I ordered an Elkhart Lake Blue C8 in July. Mine was 1 day from being built when the plant closed. Oh well.
This lift came with wheels, so it can be moved.

That's a story you can tell for a long time!. Just think how excited the Bowling Green gang will be when they get back to work. Nothing better than a story to go with a car. Good stuff. Soon enough, I am sure. Thanks for the note on the wheels. Can you roll these with a car in place? I would guess not in the upper position.

Yes it can be rolled with a car on it. I suppose even in the up position. I would not be inclined to do that. Never actually moved mine either way.

Thanks. Unfortunately, it looks like no pig roast this year. Social distancing isn't too bad here. Can't wait to get back to normal though.

Pig roast was a lot of fun. Crazy how quickly things can change. I would quarantine at your place even if I didn't have to. Between the lake and the garage, you have it all.
