Extra plug

Im wanting to put in a new stereo in my gen 2. After taking off the bezel I noticed on extra black plug just hanging out. Anyone be able to tell me what it might go to?

Based on the avatar pic of an RT I would assume it may be the unused rear window defroster harness.

Yup. Here's an old pic while I was doing stereo work. It is partly visible at the bottom of the pic.

Thanks Dave6666, I was kinda hoping it was a extra stereo harness that was wired in somehow from previous owner.

Stereo wiring has historically caused all kinds of problems with these cars. Specifically VTSS issues. I much rather NOT find extra stereo wiring.

Yep and in the relay box in the RT/10 trunk there's an empty relay slot for the rear window defroster would be on a GTS. FWIW.
