    Backup Camera Wiring

I have my car at dealership and they said they can't find the wiring.
Does anyone have any tips to find this wiring???
    It's a 2013 SRT

There are wiring diagrams and vehicle location overlay drawings of Gen V wiring on the 2018 Tech Authority WUSB. If you like, call me and I will text a couple of pics to you. 317 402 9013

Trying to describe this wiring in a written format would be a waste of time for all concerned.

I am surprised the current version of Tech Connect isn't working for your dealer.

I don’t even know if they looked it up, I think they just looked for it in the back of car and can’t find it.
    I text you, Steve.

Bought my 2013 SRT from a luxury car dealership. It didnt have the back up camera. I negotiated it in the deal with install. They called me and said they could not find the wiring. I took the part and said I'll figure it out myself cause from what I read on here was that it is prewired. I assume they just looked behind the panel in the trunk, when in actuality it is behind the rear applique.
Also if your car didnt come with a back up camera from the factory, then your rear applique does not have a hole where the camera goes.

Once the camera is hooked up you will also need a software update. I did this on my 13.

Dealer says I have to get new rear panel to mount rear view camera which is expensive.
They said there is a rear panel which is made for rear camera and has a groove made for camera and a rear panel that was made for a non camera car which doesn’t have this groove.
I let them know that people have drilled a hole in rear panel and installed the camera but dealer doesn’t feel comfortable cutting hole in carbon fiber when it doesn’t have the groove.

    Any suggestions???

    You might consider switching dealers.

Just checked my map...I would consider calling Bill Pemberton to see if Woodhouse has someone who can help.

Above aside, maybe someone here can offer more guidance.

Is this piece that needs cut for camera made of carbon fiber?
    I thought it was plastic...

It is plastic. I had the same one. No hole for camera. I bought a carbon one (which was my plan anyways) and it had the hole for the camera.
