There is a lot of knowledge in the Detroit Area. Prefix is local if you need engine work, John Donato is local if you need transmission work, many of the MCVO members are former/current Chrysler engineers. Wil Thorne comes to mind as someone who has done maintenance on several members vipers and knows gen I/II's. I am hardly scratching the surface on the people and resources. Ask on the local MCVO facebook page and you will probably get a dozen more reputable places to get your car inspected/worked on from people who have owned these cars for 20 years.
Excellent. Thanks for the information.

I would suggest that you join the Motor City VOA. The contacts that you meet within that group will be invaluable in the future. Viper ownership now "...takes a village".
You have gotten all good advice. I would second those recommendations. Also for normal service I use Dick Scott Dodge in Plymouth. They have one tech there that is a Viper expert. Ronnie. He has been servicing my Vipers for 20+ years. I always ask for him when I call. They have been very accommodating.
Wow, I wasn't aware Ronnie was still a Viper tech at Dick Scott. Are they still Viper oriented (inside parking, watch while work is performed, etc)?
I had both of my Gen III window regulators done last fall by Ronnie. He knew all about that door to window strip that breaks off at the slightest wrong move. He's on top of all things Viper and performance as far as I can tell. I don't know about watching while they work. I have not asked to do it. I usually drop my car off in the morning and pick it up before they close. On the few rare occasions that they have had to keep it overnight they parked it inside. As long as he is there I would recommend Dick Scott in Plymouth for normal service, Prefix/Arrow for all and any powertrain work and anything major, John Donato for any and all transmission related work or questions, and the MCVO for just about any viper related question or contact.
