    Granatelli Signature Edition cars

Does anyone know the story behind the Granatelli Signature Edition 1997 GTS cars. I don't see any reference to these cars in the Viper Registry.

I've never heard of it in 25 years. But that might not mean much.

I'm in the same boat...never heard of the Granatelli Signature Edition 1997 GTS. I GOOGLED it and found it/them. I don't know what to tell you. Whatever they are...maybe a concocted edition...someone here will know.

Granatelli Motorsports looks just like a speed shop/parts place with no Viper specific things shown except a picture of an ACR. Sounds like someone went there for a tune or parts and magically the car was transformed into a special edition. Ha!

Granatelli was big back in the old 4th Gen F-Body LS-1 days. Didn't realize they tried to get into Vipers a bit as well.

There are a few of these cars around. As far as I can tell they have some performance parts added and then they add the fender badges. These apparently were not done at the assembly plant. So, as I read the replies, these are not "special" to most (all) guys. I've found one for sale so I think I'll give him a call and see what he says about the car.

Damn it. I had a Fitzgerald Motorsports sticker on mine. I took it off and now I've lost gazillions of pennies in potential value!

So basically, no value added. Maybe even a little shaved off.
