Now the price makes sense. 55K miles is a lot on a Viper. Not that it can't take it.

Yea that 55k ACR has been sitting for awhile (5+ months), its not bad having a lot of miles but who knows how low it will go because of the mileage.

That car would be a great candidate for a heads and can package and even a TT

I got there 30 minutes after Walnut Creek McLaren/Bentley/Aston shipped it to where ever it is now (Burlingame? Their sister store, I guess). Almost saw it in person. Was at McLaren, Volvo... thing probably 5 thousand miles just dealer to dealer. Some one had some FUN!

10 years from now we will look back at this and be like Damn, I should have bought it so cheap! It'll be worth 300k then!

This car can be bought in the 90s and will be worth 250-300k 10 years from now. Trust me!

FYI for someone interested, Car is now in Los Gatos, Ca at an Aston Martin/McLaren/exotic car dealership. Sticker was $146,000 due mainly to the carbon treatment on the inside and outside (I think $9k upgrade between both). 3 speakers. Engine was filthy, power steering fluid low, battery dead. Not a lot of wear on the extended diffuser and the front splitter, but both splitter rods were bent. Many rock chips on the front that were decently repaired.

Most miles ive heard of on a gen 5....and a 2016 ACR no less. Lots of road trips on a stiff suspension. Previos owner probably needs back surgery now...

I'd rather spend $25K more and get an almost new car, they sell in the 120's all the time. $20K to have all the mechanicals etc with 10K miles versus 55K would be worth it, let alone stuff like suspension etc. These shocks are $13K each.

Question, since a GTC ACR does not have any indication in the VIN of it being an ACR will low lifes start to counterfeit them by taking a non-ACR and turning it into an ACR? Wouldn't be hard, maybe costly for the shocks and aero but doable and if ACR prices keep going up there might be more incentive. I know you could always verify what the car came with by checking with a dealer but there may be people that wouldn't think to do that (I will if I ever buy another one!). There have been people caught out by buying what is referred to as a "tribute" Shelby Mustang thinking it was the real deal only to find out later that it wasn't.

Somehow these "low lifes" are going to A) have the money to buy a viper and B) have money left over to buy uber expensive ACR-only parts to conterfeit a clone??

Check at the VOA fb page , David is selling his blue white acr-e and that car is in great shape

I wouldn't be scared off from the miles.. these things are pretty bullet proof if not abused and regular maintenance and upkeep is performed..

  25. #25
Miles will always affect cars. There is no such thing as bullet proof. Think about wear on brake systems (very expensive if carbon brakes), interior wear, glass especially windshield, paint chips, rims, engine components etc. Everything will wear with miles and it doesn’t matter if the driveline will hold hold up....the entire car wears with miles

It all depends on what someone is looking for but a cheaper high mileage car can be false economy as it will cost more to get it into the condition you ultimately want
