    Hello all. Dan here. Recently discovered the club and thought I'd provide a brief intro. I've owned a 2000 acr, black with silver stripes for around five years now. Under 16000 miles. Great car. I actually traded a 427 backdraft cobra for it. A solid decision I think..

    Welcome to the greatest car club on the planet and yep, I agree that's a beautiful ACR!

    Take a couple minutes to visit www.driveviper.com/nve4 and check out the biggest Viper Party on the Planet in Miami this spring! It will be tons of fun and where else can you see hundreds of Vipers in one place??

    I get to St Louis a lot for business, are you out near Chesterfield by chance? I swear I’ve seen this car out and about before.

    Welcome!

    Sweet ACR!!

    Did ACRs come with black wheels from the factory? I thought they were all silver.

    Thanks for the compliments guys. Yeah. The wheels were powder coated black by the previous owner. They are the original acr wheels though. I've thought about having them taken back to the original finish. Can't decide....

    Take them back!! Friends don't let friends drive on all-black wheels.

    Hint: Quick, run out to the ACR with a tube of Silicone Sealer. Pop out the centercaps carefully. Apply a dab of silicone to the back-inside at 12-3-6-9 O'clock. Re-Install. Let cure 24 hours. {Silicone Implants}

    OTHERWISE, you WILL probably lose an unobtanium unicorn centercap much sooner than later.

    IF you decide to return to OE Silver, you will likely love how the stripe-matched wheels POP.

    Is it just the picture or did you convert the exhaust to side pipes. Not sure if that is a visual break or if you installed some older model sidesills on your Black Beast. I had a 2000 Black/silver GTS and it always got a lot of comments, as I am sure yours does? Tough decision on taking the rims back to original , as the coating was a bit unique for the older ACRs and you would have to find someone skilled enough to be able to match the finish. Welcome and you might consider coming out to the Viper Rendezvous in June, as we get a lot of St. Louis Trackrats who show up to polish up their racing and driving skills.

    It still has the stock exhaust configuration, though it is a belanger system. And yeah, I kinda hate the idea of turning the wheels over to somebody for refinishing. Btw, I'm located in the Kansas city area. Anyone else around here?

    Thanks for the tip on the center caps! And yeah, silver wheels with the stripes would look great
