You're not crazy, but the midyear Corvette won't drive like your Viper. I've had alot of 63-67 Corvettes including the 65 I have had since I was a teenager. Love them. In a perfect world you would have both. Let me know if you decide to go the Corvette route. I can find one for you, I'm sure. Good luck with your decision.

Thank you, it's a 95, was perfect black but wanted this from day one, painted all disassembled... it's all PPG base coat with 5 coats of clear over all colors, took two days of applying color and masking stripes and then clear... took a best of paint last week

No!, DON'T sell it. You'll regret letting it go for sure; Not for C2.... Seriously, just park it for a while and give it more thought. Your G1 is monster while the C2 is a cool car, worlds apart.

Now I'm second guessing... I love my Viper but always wanted the right C2 ( though I want a convertible) and feel this is the right time to purchase a C2, I know I'm giving up performance but that's not important to me now in my 50s, I drive my cars all the time though not long far drives I love taking them out, I'm always worried about something happening to my Viper that I can't fix because of lack or available parts, I feel if even my windshield breaks I will be without my car for months as I've heard the stories of just that happening, gonna settle on a decision this weekend after driving a few Vettes

Your Viper is gorgeous and Arizona is the perfect climate to enjoy it. I have had a number of C2 coupes and convertibles including a 62, 63, 64, 66, and two 67's. I suppose they look interesting if you've never had one but in my opinion they do not hold a candle to the Viper. Once the 96 GTS arrived, I lost interest in Corvettes. When the 2019 ZR1 came out, I became interested again but I'd much rather have a Gen 2 Viper and $100K cash in my pocket instead of a C7 ZR1. I'm already tired of looking at the C8 and they are not even on the street yet. To each his own

The least expensive midyear, 63-67, Corvette would be a non original motor 64. They can be had in the mid 30's. Nice 65-67 convertibles with original motors are 50-70. Fuelies and big blocks command the big dollars.

I only paid $1,500 for my 65 327/350 but that was in 1971.

Beautiful Vette... Thanks again to all, I'm not expecting to purchase a C2 for that kind of money, looking to spend in the $50k range, have my eye on a few... In that range. I have a current buyer for my Viper at $28k but I am having a hard time pulling the trigger, I do love the car l... it's one of the best looking "custom" vipers out there... ok I might be a little biased" but I still think it is ;-) and a joy to drive but I do eventually want a C2 vert, the prices are creeping up and feel this might be the right time and as I get older performance gets less important. I can't afford both, also have a Harley street glide and my wife has a Tahoe that she wants to rid for another C5 vert so no room in garage as well otherwise I would have both.

Paul, I have to agree with ACRSNK...your '65 is a BEAUTY !! I drove a friend's '65 quite a few times in1965...beautiful, fun, and fast. The thing that saved our lives in those days were the hard compound, skinny stock tires which allowed one to lay a long patch of rubber without achieving a whole lot of speed.
