    Wheels wheels and wheels again

So Ive sold my CCWs and now back on SW2s that are hyper black. Really cant complain about the look or the performance these wheels provide but one can never stop to think... are there any wheels out there in the SW2 sizes that are lighter than SW2s?

    My understanding is...
    SW2 front: 18.7lbs 18x10.5 (?)
    SW2 rear: 23.1lbs 19x13

Show me what wheels you have on your track build as well. Not drag setup!

Outnumbered [Ron] has a great set for sale. But they are 19's front and rear. May be he will chime in here, if they are not sold yet.

Thanks Anil, but they did sell. Shipped them to Kuwait today. They were light but not quite as light as SW's.

My Forgeline GA3R-6 are OEM sizes. .5" wider up front (TRUE 18x11" wide wheels) and 19x13 rears. 19.0 and 24.0lbs respectively. So UNDER a 1lb difference.

Your SWIIs should be 19s out back unless I'm mistaken...

I did a set of these on my 2019 ZR1, with exposed contrast hardware. These are sweet wheels and light. But I got them because stock ZR1 wheels suck donkey butt (ugly and prone to breaking), and I wanted something safe for track days and was super light. Light as they are, the SW2s are still one of my fav wheels, their weight, as others have said, will be hard to beat even at far higher price points.

As stated above, lol. 19lbs. Which apparently is the same as SWII.

Looks like my Forgelines are the same as SWIIs.

No you can't get a lighter wheel than the SW2's, unless you spend big bucks on Forgelines and might end up being 1 lb less. Run the Sidewinders and get Doug Shelby's titanium studs and lug nuts!

    The sidewinder 2

According to these pictures with a scale, the Forgeline GTD1 may be lighter or equal to the SWII. We know the Forgeline wheels will be stronger too.
    Thanks to Bryan Savage

    Sidewinder 2, Front, 18x10.5
    Weight: 19 lbs.

    GTD1-Viper, Front, 18x10.5

A good find for sure. It is difficult even finding used SW's for sale.

https://www.detroitwheelandtire.com/dodge/viper.html shows SWIIs for sale. Reconditioned I think. Front or rear in grey $650.

I checked as well. Any of the sites advertising that they have them most likely don't.

I'd be concerned about reconditioned wheels if you're going to track them. Any impacts / structural issues that have been glossed over (pardon the pun;-) could be a failure waiting to happen.

Yikes. I guess for that money you could buy a few sets of ACR wheels in 19 all around. Similar wheel but only black of course.

ACR wheels are heavy, they look good, but do not compare to the lighter aftermarket options mentioned in this thread.

    Here are the weights:

    My RS 100 HRE's weigh:
    front 24.2lbs
    rear 25.6
I have a set of HRE race wheels coming, the RC line. Fronts are 22.8 and rears are 23.9.

I think for the money, the BC Forged wheels are hard to beat. I believe Tony mentioned that they are a popular track wheel, and their finish quality is second to none, and again, the weight difference did not seem to be significantly different when compared to the SW's. I intended on weighing mine, but it always slipped my mind.
